Genifique Youth Activating Review

genifique imageLancome products have been around for awhile and on the whole have been considered excellent skin care products. So it was only natural that when Lancome came out with their new anti-wrinkle cream, Genifique, that people would sit up and take notice. The official website of this product lists Genifique as a "Youth activating concentrate". It claims that it boosts the activity of your genes and that you will see younger and more youthful skin in just 7 days.

Ingredients

Finding a list of Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate is not a simple task. The ingredients that are available are bio-lysat, phytosphimgasine, salicylic acid derratives and glycol moisturizers. Interesting enoughm not one of these ingredients are ingredients commonly found in anti aging products. In fact, most of the listed ingredients are known not to help prevent or diminish wrinkles and do have the potential for irritating the skin.

Some reviewers who have also tried this product state that one of the ingredients listed on their bottle is alcohol a known drying agent and one that is not recommend to use on skin especially on the face. The product does contain what is described as a acne preventive.

How is The Product Suppose To Work

Using the applicator you are supposed to put the Genfique serum on your skin and rub it in. It is then supposed to activate your genes and help them to produce all the good stuff you need to keep wrinkles at bay, smooth out your skin and give it a glow. However, if there are no actual anti-aging ingredients in the serum. one has to ask not only if Genifique delivers on it's promises, but if it works at all?

Does Lancome's Genifique Work?

Simply by looking at the list of known ingredients, it is quite easy to reach the conclusion that Genifique cannot live up to it's promises. Without any active anti wrinkle ingredients, this product isn't going to diminish those fine lines and wrinkles you already have, much less prevent new ones from appearing. Customer reviews of Genifique seems to back the fact that Genifique does not live up to it's promises.

While some customers liked this product, most did not. Those who did seem to like it commented more on the cute bottle and the applicator than on any real effect it had on wrinkles. While this serum seemed to go on your skin smooth and be absorbed without residue, for most reviewers it had absolutely no positive affect on their skin or their wrinkles.

Ironically, several reviewers did claim that Genifique Youth Activating Serum did bring them more youthful skin but, not in the way they hoped. Instead of reducing the wrinkles they had, some reported that their fine lines were even more prominent. The appearance of youth they refer to seems to be a problem with acne. Many users who have never had acne problems, even as youths, were finding that they were breaking out for the first time in their lives.

In addition, several reviewers reported that this product dried their skin and some had burning and other negative reactions.

In conclusion, it seems that Lancome has struck out with Genifique, and that unless you are looking for dry skin and acne breakouts, you would be best to avoid this expensive and potentially irritating anti-wrinkle product.
