Olay Regenerist Review

Regenerist is a line of advanced, anti-aging skin care products from Olay®, an American skin care company founded in 1949 by Graham Wulff and originally called Oil of Olay. The company is now a part of the Proctor & Gamble family of companies. Unlike other products, Regenerist is a full product line of not only anti-aging products, but also appearance correction moisturizers, creams, and other products that help regenerate your skins appearance without drastic measures.

Olay Regenerist Ingredients

All totalled, the Regenerist line includes 34 products among the facial moisturizer, UV, specialty treatment, eye treatment, and facial cleanser categories. Because of this, the product list is voluminous and may appear daunting, but keep in mind that all are specially formulated to draw out, enhance, and protect your individual skin type. According to Olay®, Regenerist is formulated with “an exclusive Olay amino-peptide + B3 complex, Regenerist incorporates other proven anti aging ingredients such as vitamin E, pro-vitamin B5, green tea extract, allantoin and glycerin.”

Olay Regenerist Reviews

Because there are 34 products in the Regenerist line, there are, literally, hundreds of positive reviews from satisfied customers on their website, most with five star ratings. Most of the reviews extol the benefits of Regenerist products, using words like “wonderful,” “excellent” and “awesome.”

“Kriss” posted a review of the Regenerist Wrinkle Revolution Complex and raved that it took a decade off her appearance. “This product is the best that I have ever used, NEVER again will I use generic copycats,” she wrote. “I couldn’t believe how well I looked after the first time, this will be a Christmas present for my sister. Also, I am 54 and now I look at least 44. Thank you, Olay.”

“Barbara” recently lauded Regenerist Daily Regenerating Serum in an Amazon review when she wrote, “As a former user of extremely expensive skin products, I rate Olay as an equal or better product than the ones you pay lots of money for. Pros

Besides its price advantage and long history, Olay® Regenerist products offer distinct advantages over competing products. Did you know that Olay® does not allow retailers to re-brand Regenerist products as their own store brand? In addition, company founder Graham Wulff was a firm believer in doing his own research and in-house product development, therefore no Regenerist products are outsourced to other firms. But the best reason to use any of the Regenerist products over store or competing brands begins and ends with the ingredients. Regenerist uses an exclusive blend of pentapeptides that store brands do not; the appearance of wrinkles are reduced and the skin retains moisture better through Niacinamide (vitamin B3); and many of the products in the line-up use three times as many anti-aging vitamins as competing brands.

Cons

One of the biggest drawbacks of using any of the Olay® Regenerist products is consumers cannot make purchase directly through the company website. Instead, customers are re-directed to a “Where to buy Olay” page which presents a list of brick and mortar and online retailers where the products can be purchased. Honestly, this is a minor inconvenience. Overall, consumers may find that some Regenerist products may not be suitable for sensitive skin, and may contain parabens, a chemical preservative that the Journal of Applied Toxicology warns has been found in extremely low doses in breast cancer samples.

Final Thoughts

Compared to other similarly marketed products, the Olay® Regenerist line offers noticeable advantages not only in price, but in their results and the level of satisfaction seen in consumer reviews.
