Skinlastin Review

revitol imageAccording to their official site, Skinlastin by Dermagevity skin care is an Anti wrinkle, skin tautening, complexion brightening toner. It seems to be part cosmetic and part anti wrinkle cream and claims to make your skin look younger, smoother and healthier in 30 days or your money back. According to the site, this product also promotes cell regeneration.

How Does Skinlastin Work?

To give skinlastin credit, it is packed with a number of ingredients including some that are quite interesting. Skinlastin contains a number of protein complexes, peptides, Hyaluronic acid, and Matrixly 3000 along with a snake venom that they claim is a botox venom and several nice smelling oils that help smooth and hydrate your skin.

One of the claims of this product is that it is all inclusive and that no other anti wrinkle cream or skin cream is needed. You simply apply a small amount twice a day after cleansing and watch those fine lines and wrinkles disappear. It also claims to be hypo allergenic.

Testimonials on their site rave about how well this product works which is pretty much what you would expect.

Concerns

Although skinlastin is packed with peptides which often help the skin to produce more collagen and elastin, their main peptide is the snake venom which does not produce collagen but rather is supposed to be an alternative to botox. All other peptides are in extremely miniscule amounts which raises doubts as to whether there is enough of any collagen building peptide to actually help you produce more collagen. Since as we grow older our bodies produce less collagen and collagen is necessary to help make our skin more elastic and help keep wrinkles at bay, one can only wonder if skinlastin has the ability of producing any lasting effect on your skin.

There is also concern about skinlastin's claim to be hypoallergenic. One would think that the snake venom alone could cause a potentially allergic reaction in some people and many of the other ingredients as well might cause an allergic reactions in some people. In fact, consumers who have purchased Skinlastin and given reviews on other sites have both expressed disappointment in the ability of this product to live up to its claim and have reported having allergic reactions to this Skinlastin as well.

When you consider that this product costs around $80.00 for a mere 2 ounce bottle, it seems like a stiff price to pay for a product that has such a doubtful outcome.

Final Thoughts

On the positive side, Skinlastin does have some great ingredients that have been proven to be effective in other anti wrinkle creams. It gives a 30 day guarantee for those wishing to try this product and the site does offer testimonials suggesting that it does what it claims to do.

On the negative side, skinlastin is expensive, does not contain enough peptides to do what the product claims it will do, and not all consumers found this product to live up to it's promises and some had allergic reactions to it's ingredients.

Considering the price of this product, and that some of the ingredients may well do more harm than good for your skin, you might be better off to purchase a less expensive wrinkle cream with better overall reviews.
